Whether you’re a type designer or you use fonts in your design work, I can help you navigate the complexities of the type industry.
It’s me: Doug Wilson. I have over 20 years experience in design, advertising, and typography. Heck, I even made a movie about type technology that revolutionized the world.
I’ve helped creatives at Nike, Netflix, Sony, EA Games, Rapha, and Hearst choose the right type for the right audience. As a type consultant, I’ve worked with a dozen independent type foundries as well as Monotype, Linotype, and Adobe.
I bring an outside perspective from actual users of type and a deep understanding of the ever-changing industry. Working with agencies, I help vet font licensing strategies and have worked with developers & engineers to build, test, and launch successful websites and digital products.
